Ruth Weiss
A retired high school educator and mentor teacher of 34 years, Ruth has found her retirement calling working to restore and defend the integrity of the electoral process in California.
The Election Integrity Project, Inc. was founded in December, 2010, and Ruth became San Diego Coordinator in February of 2011. She served on the Board of EIP from 2012 to 2017, and in that year she and Linda Paine co-founded Election Integrity Project® California, Inc. (EIPCa). Ruth currently serves on the Board of EIPCa as Vice President, Director of Legislative Oversight and Director of Education and Training, while continuing to coordinate San Diego County.
EIPCa is committed to providing the best possible documentation of flawed state and county election laws and procedures to those in a position to address the vulnerabilities that have been created by the California legislature through those laws.
We are also committed to educating California voters in the election process and thus enabling them to make the best choice they can to protect the integrity of their own vote. Part of this goal is training California citizens to observe every element of the electoral process and document their concerns.
During the last 11 years EIPCa has 1) trained over 16,000 nonpartisan volunteer observers to document violations and anomalies in over 40 CA counties; 2) researched county and state voter registration databases (multiple times per year), 3) documented laws, policies and procedures, and emergency regulations that have systematically destroyed integrity in the election process, 4) filed a lawsuit against the California Secretary of State and the L.A. County Registrar in 2017 for violation of federal law to maintain accurate voter rolls, 5) filed a lawsuit against the Ventura County Registrar for violation of California election laws giving citizens the right to observe the election process, ask questions, receive answers, document and report issues (trial date in 2022).
EIPCa filed a lawsuit in 2021 to challenge the constitutionality of 20+ California election laws, as well as the emergency regulations and policies and procedures that make it possible to manipulate the vulnerabilities created by those laws. Thirteen Congressional Candidates became co-plaintiffs.
Our lawsuit is now in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
